Definition of Doorway Page has changed now

Recently, Google has changed the definition of Doorway pages by updating the information about Doorway pages in the Webmaster Help Center.

Previously, it was -
"Doorway pages

Doorway pages are pages specifically made for search engines. Doorway pages contain many links - often several hundred - that are of little to no use to the visitor, and do not contain valuable content. HTML sitemaps are a valuable resource for your visitors, but ensure that these pages of links are easy for your visitors to navigate. If you have a number of links to include, consider organizing them into categories or into multiple pages. But in doing so, ensure that they are intended for visitors to navigate the sections of your site, and not simply for search engines."

And now it has changed to -
"
Doorway pages are typically large sets of poor-quality pages where each page is optimized for a specific keyword or phrase. In many cases, doorway pages are written to rank for a particular phrase and then funnel users to a single destination."

So, Google is like changing many things now, like in the last month, we have seen G changes its favicon (but just favicon); even that's not a big change - but yeah! change is there. Lets see if some more changes are there or not?

  1. Doorway pages are special pages that are made for the sole purpose of fooling the search engines crawlers. They are also known as bridge" pages or "doorway" pages, portal pages, jump pages, gateway pages, entry pages, and by other names as well. To search engines to improve their traffic. These are black hat techniques to fool the search engines algorithm, usually door WebPages are made to concentrate on a single keyword or keyword phrase. They are created to emphasize on a particular keywords and are present on the net as a door to the website. One problem with this is that these pages tend to be very generic. Since these pages are made for different keywords they are often marked as spam, since they carry duplicate content. Another problem is that these pages don’t provide the goal pages, they act as a bridge or doorway to the original website that is why they got the names as bridge" pages or "doorway" pages, portal pages, jump pages, gateway pages, entry pages etc webmasters usually propel visitors forward with a prominent "Click Here" link or with a fast meta refresh command.
