Google announced Insights for Search

Tuesday, August 05, 2008 by Trevor Claiborne, Inside AdWords Crew; Google announced a new tool for advertisers and marketers to understand search behavior - Google Insights for Search.

We can also say this is an Add-on to Google Trends. We just have to type the keyword in a search term to see search volume patterns over time, as well as the top related and rising searches. We can also compare search volume trends across multiple search terms, categories, geographic regions, or specific time ranges.

To download the results / analysis for our searches, we just need sign into our Google account.

Lets take an example to check it more with using any filtration in the tool. If you make for a search for term SEO, then the tool will show you graphs including Interest over time, Regional interest for SEO, Search volume Index, Search terms related to SEO includes top searches and rising searches. Rising searches are searches that have experienced significant growth in a given time period, with respect to the preceding time period.

We can compare the search terms by keywords, locations and time ranges and filter by country, time period and category also.
