India Celebrating Childhood

In India, Today 14th November, we are celebrating the Children's Day. The day markes the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the 1st Prime Minister of India.

Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14, 1889 in the city of Allahabad city in Uttar Pradesh. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji was very fond of children and that's how known as Chaha Nehru in India. This day is celebrated throughout India in recognition of his lifelong passion and work for children. Children’s Day is a day for children to engage in fun and frolic. School children have many cultural activities and cultural programmes in the schools.

Let us pledge today to make the dream of Pandit Nehru a reality by spreading the message of education and social equality throughout the India and worldwide.
