Meet Hitesh Dhawan, Founder of Neuronimbus.com

“Offshore Software & Neuronimbus”

Aiming for the stars is an oft quoted way of at least reaching for higher skies. Although the pun may be a bit ancient the philosophy of being ambitious works for entrepreneurs. Hitesh Dhawan in particular is one such person whose ideas are big and beautiful. His entrepreneurial dreams cumulated in Neuronimbus which is a leading web and offshore software development company.

Hitesh told what his entrepreneurial goals are and what he stands for saying “Neuronimbus the word stands for ‘Collection of the best minds’ which in turn signifies our approach towards investing in the right human capital more than anything else. We believe that the right team with the relevant skills makes the difference for IT services company.”

“Talking about the company – the genesis of Neuronimbus happened from realizing a gap that existed in the web solutions and services space at the time. The gap was of a well rounded and full service company that was not more keen to forge partnerships with their customers rather than either look for just domain and hosting orders or only do run of mill web development projects. There was a need to deliver more, our tag line “Innovation. Simplicity. Quality” underlines this very well.”

“A brief explanation about our motto will serve as a good explanation about our company, so here it goes –

Innovation: We realize that the timeless adage ‘change is the only constant’ holds true and cuts across all forms of businesses. It is the route we have taken to bring value to our customers, by constantly evolving and improving the solutions that we offer be it investing precious time in research and development, newer technologies, enhancing existing solutions through functionality upgrades.”

“Simplicity: In the complex world of technology as people perceive it, the virtue of simplicity determines the effectiveness of any solution or product. It’s the clarity in vision of ‘what the client wants’ and ‘how best can we address the need’ that makes us the preferred technology partners.”

“Quality: We consider our work to be of good quality only when we know that what we made was exactly what the client wanted or even more. The religious following of the first two mantras make it easy for us to deliver quality solutions without making any fuss about the most widely misused word – ‘quality’.”

Hitesh has a large target clientele and confesses that he has no inkling of how many beneficiaries use his applications. He explains why saying “It’s difficult to gauge the number of people who benefit from our services other than the employees that work for the company, the work we do is in most cases for global audiences and cuts across geographical boundaries. However what we can say with some surety is that other than the employees there are few hundred of our clients who have directly benefited from the work we have done for them.”

The concept for Neuronimbus may not be the most unique but Hitesh believes that his venture will stand the test of time. He spoke of what makes them a cut above the rest saying “With respect to differentiators – Ability to move across various business verticals and understand our client’s businesses and provide solutions/applications that are efficient. We don’t jargonize nor to do we lace our words and work with technical banter that only creates hype but doesn’t deliver as per expectations. Our developed competencies in specific core set of web technologies Business Model – The business model is to look at high value and long terms associations that take the shape technology partnerships that constantly provide value to our clients/partners from the work we do.”

Hitesh has the air of an entrepreneur who lives to make something out of nothing and rises each day looking forward to challenges. He explained what drew him to the lifestyle saying “Reasons are many but the one that drives me even today – To be the enabler, creator of something meaningful.”

“The biggest challenge so far was to clinch our first and the biggest outsourcing deal, the hurdles were many e.g. companies bigger than us, more work done and better exposure to that market. Our zealous mindset and sheer passion to work connected with our prospect. A much sincere and practical level showcased the capabilities which were an essential pull of what was required.”

Hitesh feels that partnerships in company management do not work and regards it as a mistake. However he certainly does not regard his decision to go into business. He gleefully told us of their progress saying “The growth trajectory of the company has been good but more importantly it has been sustainable. We currently have associations in US and Australia and our core and registered operations are in New Delhi, India.”

“The biggest achievement has been that we have gone beyond what we thought we could do and delivered solutions that were appreciated by our customers. Other driving factor has been or human capital.”

Google with Larger Search Box Now

Google has made its search box larger than before. Google Marissa Mayer, Vice President, Search Products & User Experience just announced this last night that the search box's size was increased.

He added. "Although this is a very simple idea and an even simpler change, we're excited about it — because it symbolizes our focus on search and because it makes our clean, minimalist homepage even easier and more fun to use. The new, larger Google search box features larger text when you type so you can see your query more clearly. It also uses a larger text size for the suggestions below the search box, making it easier to select one of the possible refinements."

Blogger is 10 years old now

Don't know if you have seen the blogger's birthday logo on the blogger site or not? I just have noticed it by today only and that's inspired me making this post. Well! I am little late..no I am a lazy bone..

As Google already mentioned about the blogger 10th birthday in their Official Google Blog. You can the post here at http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/09/happy-10th-birthday-blogger.html

Blogger was released in August of 1999 and after that we have seen many changes yet in the blogger blog's customization and look & feel.

In celebrating 10th birthday of Blogger, Google have been releasing birthday presents as a way to thanks millions of users of blogger announcing 2 more, courtesy of two Blogger partners:
  • Socialvibe: When Socialvibe approached us about finding a way to empower the Blogger community to help raise funds for charities, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to leverage Blogger's reach to do some good. Starting this week, Blogger users can show their support for charities and raise funds by adding a gadget to their blog. The Socialvibe team has challenged us to raise $50,000 for charity by the end of the year, and we're pretty confident we can beat that.
  • InfoThinker: If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch and a Blogger blog, you're in luck. The team at InfoThinker (makers of the iPhone app BlogPress) was eager to help celebrate Blogger's birthday. Earlier this week they submitted a free version of BlogPress that works only on Blogger to the iPhone App Store. Blogging on the go has never been so easy! Keep an eye out for the app.

The Net is 40 years old now

For something that we cannot feel or see or realise, our World Wide Web (www) turns 40 years on September 2nd 2009 which born on 2nd Sept, 1969 at the University of California which has changed our thoughts and and our lives in ways we are only just beginning to realise. The internet truly shrunk the world, being the harbinger of an information evolution. Now, if we see Microsoft and Google has a big hand of support in our advancement through the internet in surfing the www plots and getting information through worldwide by web browsers.

This mode of connectivity was born at the University of California 40 years ago last week. And when was the first time it was attacked? In 1988, by 'Morris', one of the first internet worms which are the common thing in the web world now. Everyday we suffered through many malwares, trojans, viruses and worms online and in way to protect our desktops and laptops from these cruel online junks.

Anyways, but this www has change the world a lot - changes our thinking, get to know more about anything etc and its still in a way of advancement everyday.

Microsoft join hands with Yahoo!

After long-drawn speculations, Yahoo! and Microsoft have come together to forge a formidable alliance in Internet search and advertising space that will challenge the dominance of market leader Google.

The ten-year agreement would see both the companies coming together in the search arena and sales activities related to search advertising.

"In simple terms, Microsoft will now power Yahoo! search while Yahoo! will become the exclusive worldwide relationship sales force for both companies' premium search advertisers," the two firms said in a statement.

As part of the deal, Microsoft would acquire an exclusive ten-year licence to Yahoo!'s core search technologies.

This would also allow the software giant to integrate Yahoo!'s search technologies into its existing platforms including Bing, Microsoft's newly launched search engine.

Yahoo! would be compensated by Microsoft through a revenue sharing agreement on traffic generated on Yahoo!'s network of both owned and operated and affiliate sites.

"Microsoft will pay traffic acquisition costs (TAC) to Yahoo! at an initial rate of 88 percent of search revenue generated on Yahoo!'s O&O sites during the first five years of the agreement," the statement noted.

Google has more than 60 per cent share in the search market. Since early 2008, Microsoft had been pursuing an alliance with Yahoo! and even came up with over USD 44 billion takeover plan, which did not materialise.

Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer said the agreement would provide Microsoft's search engine, Bing, the scale necessary to more effectively compete, attracting more users and advertisers.

Asserting that the partnership would provide a "viable alternative to advertisers," the statement said they would no longer have to rely on one company that dominates more than 70 per cent of all search.

Once the agreement is fully implemented, Yahoo! Expects that it would provide a benefit to annual GAAP operating income of about USD 500 million and capital expenditure savings of about USD 200 million.

Yahoo! anticipates that the pact would also result in a benefit to annual operating cash flow of nearly USD 275 million.

"This deal fits the long-term strategic direction of Yahoo! to remain the world's leading online media company and Carol Bartz has the full and unanimous support of the Yahoo! Board behind this deal," said Yahoo! Chairman Roy Bostock said.

Longest Solar Eclipse of the Century

India's got the longest solar eclipse of the century on Wednesday morning 22nd July, 2009 at a local sunrise point in the Arabian Sea close to the western coast of India near Surat in Gujarat.

Thousands of people, children and adults, thronged the sky watching sites across the country with their solar goggles to watch the eclipse. In India, the totality phase lasted for some 3 minutes 30 seconds and places like Surat in Gujarat, Indore and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Patna and Taregna in Bihar observed the total solar eclipse that occurred between 6:20 a.m. to 6:25 a.m.

But there are too many myths are also attached along with every eclipse in India yet like pregnant women were advised to stay indoors in curtained rooms over a belief that the sun's invisible rays would harm the fetus and the baby would be born with disfigurations, birthmarks or a congenital defect.

Google also have celebrated this century's best shot in the sky with their Google logo (doodle) today -

SEO are basically link builders

SEOs are basically link builders

SEO Optimization means promotion of a site through different methods including submissions in web directories, article submissions, press releases, internal linking management i.e. link building development of the site to get popularity in the web and to get more traffic for the site.

In this very regard, most of the time of SEO spend in building links that's basically SEO is all about even. And which is just not so easy. Building links can be easy but building good links are not an easy task for any link builder or SEO.

WE have to take care of -
  • Relevancy of the web page where we are submitting our site.
  • PageRank of the web page where we are placing our site link. It would be great if we got high PR than our site.
  • Indexing of the site - It should be regularly indexed by major search engines like Google, Yahoo! Search and Bing.
The above constraints are not so easy to check for an SEO noob and takes a proper analysis while taking / posting our link to get link popularity through search engines. And that can only be achieved by a Good SEO. That's only why I am saying it that most of SEOs are basically link builders.

Need of Quality Backlinks and Traffic

Question : I have exchanged my site links with 30 websites but not getting any traffic and also not getting any exposure in search engine rankings too. What should I do?

Answer : It totally depend either they really are quality links or not. The page you have linked with having some traffic or not? and the relevancy factor ofcourse. The links you are linked with are relevant with your online business theme otherwise it's just useless to link with non-relevant sites.

As per google webmaster guidelines also, Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web, as your own ranking may be affected adversely by those links.

If you need any more suggestion on link building, just mail me to amit2110@gmail.com

Coaching for CA, CS and CWA Exams

Trying hard to get through the Professional Exams in commerce stream like Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary and Cost & Works Accountants? Results not behaving the way you want them to?

We all know very well that getting through the various levels of these courses offered by the respective institutes of ICAI, ICSI and ICWAI have always been a difficult task for all of us. The Question that arises - Is it really that challenging task or a tough task or is it BOTH tough and challenging?

Why it so happens that even if we are satisfied with our performances on the examination days still we are unable to make it! Is it because of the increasing examination pressure? Or the peer pressure? Or would it be wrong if it is said that it’s just we aren’t prepared the way we should have been as these professional examinations demand.

We all try our best to prepare for the examinations be it for CPT/Foundation courses or for the Final levels of Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Cost and Works Accountants. It becomes even more difficult for students to come out confidently when the graduation classes & Articleships/Practical Trainings are going on parallel. Even when we know we are running short of time to do our studies for these professional courses we have no choice but to still manage to steal some time out for the coaching classes of various important subjects which has become of utmost importance in today’s competitive examination scenario.

We all more or less do all this for clearing our examinations. Have we ever thought that why it happens that only VERY FEW of us get through the exams in the term we expect us to clear ESPECIALLY when we all put the same amount of hard work and attend the same coaching classes?

Considering the above time crunch that we face with the on going articleship, coaching classes etc we end up postponing our self studies towards the end. Hence, we actually start preparing for the respective examination during our preparation leaves or when we are through with our coaching classes. Under such a situation, we actually unknowingly put ourselves in tremendous pressure & in a difficult position which is quite visible on the faces of most of us when we are sitting to write the papers.

What we learn from this simple factual statement as narrated above that the MOST important thing which we all generally skip is timely and regularly preparing for the examinations which at one end would help us complete our courses in time BUT at the other end will also lead to a better temperament and confidence levels that is required for the FINAL DAY!.

When the reasons of our NOT “up to the mark” performance in the professional exams is so clear, then what is the solution to this?
Friends, the solution is also as clear as the problem itself. We just need to structure our preparation time table in a better way and which is spread over a longer duration before the final day! That’s it!

To fight with the current situation, the MOCK TEST SOLUTIONS offered by Eduex is gaining tremendous importance among the commerce students community (students of Chartered Accountants – Company Secretaries – Cost & Work Accountants courses).

Eduex.in, an initiative taken by few of the Finance Professionals has been brought into existence with this noble cause of assisting students to develop and execute a more structured preparation time table for their studies which not only helps them prepare for the examinations within minimum time but also helps student develop the CORRECT Temperament & confidence which is of utmost importance for clearing professional examinations which day by day are gaining intense competition levels. Last but not the least, the feedback on the performances in the MOCK TESTS directly from the pen of the ACADEMIC COUNCIL team of Eduex is doing wonders for students.

Wish you all – All the Very Best for your future endeavors!

Coaching available all over India online.

For any specific Query or suggestions from students, you can write to us at exams@eduex.in, info@eduex.in

Google to Show Behavioral Ads Soon

Google announced that they will start showing ads based on the sites we visit, searches we make etc. They will start that in a few weeks.

It has launched a system that will serve up ads to web users based on their previous online activities. The search giant is offering users the chance to see and edit their profiles and it will also offer them the choice to opt out of the service. If users like swimming they will get ads about swimming (what about adult thoughts??)

But privacy campaigners are outraged by the move, with Privacy International calling for a parliamentary enquiry.
